VEEDERSBURG -- William K. Hoagland, 49, of Rt. 2, Veedersburg died at 5:20 p.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill. He had been in ill health for 10 months. The Veedersburg native had been employed by General Motors Corp. at Danville, Ill., for 25 years. He was born March 8, 1924 at Veedersburg, a son of William and Prudence Minnick Hoagland. He was married to Betty McCurdy on March 23, 1946, at Pendleton. Survivors include the widow; a son, Stephen K. at home; two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Vicki) York of Danville and Mrs. Leslie (Linda) Clardy of Veedersburg; four sisters, Mrs. Mildred Kelley and Mrs. Florence McCormick, both of Veedersburg, Mrs. Geneva Quinlan of Wingate and Mrs. Alice Krecek of Monticello, and one granddaughter. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Stone Bluff United Methodist Church with the Rev. August Huber officiating. Burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery.
